Los Corales Beach is considered Bavaro’s main Beach. It is located between several Resorts and is a refuge for those who live and work in the area. The white sand is the result of the transformation of coral and coconut waste. There are a variety of restaurants and shops along the beach.
Macao is located north of Bavaro, away from the resorts, where the beach’s flora and fauna is still a pristine oasis. The sand has a yellow tone and the particular nature of the currents produces a variety of sizes of waves, making it a popular location for surfing lessons in Punta Cana.
